In this unit, students did small-group research about a variety of different genocides throughout history (before reading The Diary of Anne Frank). We paired current news articles from the web with background texts from Britannica, and we were able to take advantage of the leveled texts. This year, I can update these web sources with help from Gale databases.
In addition, students created a brief presentation to inform their classmates, and this year we need to teach them to use iClipart instead of having them select images from copyrighted sources!
